Apesar de ser um dos melhores RPGs da era Dreamcast e Gamecube, Skies of Arcadia nunca conseguiu ser um sucesso comercial.
O jogo teve notas muito boas e foi jogado por vários jogadores, o estúdio responsável afirmou que as vendas nunca foram nada de especial.
Mesmo assim, a série poderá regressar em breve e até o desejo de alguns dos responsáveis pelo jogo.
Kenji Hiruta revelou via Twitter que gostaria que a série voltasse ao activo com uma sequela.
