Apesar de ser um jogo praticamente abandonado, Battleborn ainda matinha os seus servidores activos. Algo que vai mudar ate 2021.
Segundo as informações mais recentes partilhadas pela 2K, a partir de Fereveiro do próximo ano, algumas das funcionalidades do jogo serão desactivadas, incluíndo a compra de Platinum, a moeda do jogo.
Em Janeiro de 2022, os servidores globais serão encerrados e o jogo ficará inacessível.

É uma pena ver Battleborn partir, a ideia da Gearbox era boa, mas não foi o suficiente para fazer frente a Overwatch.
